One of the best places to enjoy the amazing skyline of Hong Kong is a rooftop bar near Victoria Habour. Located on the 27th of Parklane Hotel in Causeway Bay, SKYE is a great place for a romantic drink or to hang out with friends.
To celebrate SKYE’s 5th Anniversary, SKYE is doing a 50% off promotion on specific dates in September. Check out the promotion details at the end of the article.
Ambience

A roof terrace with a fantastic Victoria Habour view, the bar fills up quickly right before sunset.

It has been 3 months since I’ve been working in Causeway Bay looking at a similar harbour view almost everyday, I still don’t get enough!
It reminds me of another rooftop bar Westlight in New York Brooklyn. With a similar setting, over looking the Manhattan skyline. However covid started to get worse in New York last year and it was still cold in March, I decided not to go at the end. Will plan to visit New York in the summer next time, so I can try rooftop bar hopping!
Thumbs up to my boyfriend who found this spot for a panoramic view of the Victoria Harbour skyline! Actually this is the view when you step outdoor from the restaurant which cannot be missed, but I’ve totally missed. 🤣

With a bit of a futuristic style, it made me feel like somewhere in Thailand, probably because there is a similar glowing-in-the-dark bar counter in the Sky Bar at Lebua, Bangkok.
We were moved to the seaview seats later on. From this side we can overlook the Victoria Park and the iconic densely populated city view of Hong Kong.

Of course the best spot of photo taking is the one looking over the Victoria Habour! There is no reservation available for the rooftop bar, so go early to get the best seat! There is a minimum requirement of 4 people in order to enjoy the sofa seat.

Drink
The Passport menu looks like a real passport, which is pretty awesome. It is a sad reminder of my passport which has been hidden somewhere for over a year. The passport menu gives you access to 12 exclusive cocktails. There is another bar menu with drinks and snacks.

The New Zealand Kia Kaha is quite an interesting drink. They serve the drink in blue, the color comes from Butterfly Pea Flower. After pouring the yellow little cup of pineapple and honey, the drink changed to dark pink color. It is not too sweet, great for cooling down in the hot summer.

Food
My boyfriend and I had some French oysters beforehand, so we don’t need a lot for dinner. The Szechuan fries is the fatty Belgian fries style, with spicy herbs with mayonnaise and ketchup, it is super delicious.
The Stone-baked truffled gruyere cheese flatbread comes with a crispy crust, making it a great snack with the drink.

It is pretty chill to drink and eat while enjoying this beautiful view of Hong Kong. Amazing harbour view with great food and drink at a reasonable price, I would definitely like to visit again in the future.
